MOVIE CRITIC: 31DAYS

31days is a 2017 Nigerian movie, home video, script written and produced by Olayinka Olabode, which stars characters like Funsho Adeolu, Toyin Adewale, Regina Chukwu, Lizzy Dasilva, amongst others.

This is a good movie with a good storyline. I must give thumbs up to Nigerian movies for couple of years now, they've been up and doing, I mean Nollywood. But I believe (Nollywood) can do and be better to meet up to the standard. At least we've beaten the time when our subtitles use to be  so poor!

I believe the best way to get the best from these guys is to let them know their flaws in order to go back to their drawing board and put  better movies on our TV screens.

This movie - 31days, as I said earlier on is a very good movie WITH THE STORYLINE. Let me give you an overview of the movie.

The movie is built around two individuals, a man and a lady, planning to get married. But the man was having nightmares about the upcoming wedding. He was told to make the wedding low-key, and even his wife-to-be advised him to cancel his proposed bachelors eve. Which his friends insisted they have it. To save the stress, his friends took him to Ibadan to have the bachelors eve, while the wedding will take place in Lagos as proposed in the movie.
At the venue of the party, they advised him to get a girl for himself, that his wedding is next tomorrow (in 2days) but his friends proposed that day was a Friday,(#1, if his friends said it was a Friday and the next day was his wedding, Saturday, why then did he say in two days time? Maybe he didn't master his script well... Lol)
Let me continue, he insisted he's not going to get himself a girl, so he went to the ease himself in the rest room. On his way he saw his wife's lookalike, the same hair and everything. But he was like, God created in pairs, so he called the girls father as though he had called his fiancee's number earlier but switched off (#2 their conversation was not coherent, the guy asked if the girl's back home, her dad responded yes but she has left for the house, the guy asked how many minutes ago, he (the father) said like 10 minutes ago. Now the end of the story showed that she was actually the one that he - the fiancé, saw with her sugar daddy at the club but pretended she didn't see him. My question is, how come? The bachelors eve took place in Ibadan, the girl lives with her dad in Lagos, and her dad claimed she left the house like 10mins ago... Meaning she used 10mins to travel down to Ibadan? Hmmmm... And the last time I checked, there's no flight to Ibadan from Lagos... Well maybe she didn't go with Aircraft, maybe some other craft... I don't know oo.... Lolz... "are you pondering what I'm pondering" #inBrain'sVoice, thinking of the other craft? Lol... Hmmmmm...). Also during the conversation on the phone with the father in law. He said, "we'll see in church tomorrow sir", meaning the wedding is tomorrow, so how come he was saying with his friends in two days time? Maybe he didn't check his calendar to know his wedding date sha. And also during the conversation, when he told the father in law that they'll see in church tomorrow, the father in law still responded, "hope she told you that I said you both should be very prayerful, I'll visit you people myself)... Then I'm wondering, won't they meet in church tomorrow? Hmmmm... And the last time I checked, she was still living with her father, so how come he - the father, already want to visit them?....

#3, they both claimed to be in Ibadan over the night for last time flexing as singles. Meaning that they both traveled  back to lag the next morning for their wedding? Hmmmmm... No further questioning... Lol... Case closed! Lolz....

Apart from all these, the movie is OK ...
The moral of the story is, KARMA! What goes around comes around... She spoilt her friend's proposed family with her mouth, and she got paid in her own coin.

So, Producers, let there coherence, logicalism, and sequenciality in your movies, don't just pick pieces and make it whole, bring the whole and break it into pieces!

God bless Nigeria!
