Hannah Awolowo is Dead!

Eulogies has since been showered upon the passing away of the wife of the great Hero, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, one of Nigeria's most respected politicians, Hannah Awolowo died earlier yesterday. Mrs. Awolowo, who was 99 years old, achieved great fame and respect as a confidante of her late husband and custodian of his tremendous political and cultural legacy. It was learnt that the matriarch of the Awolowo family died in her sleep in her country home of Ikenne in Ogun state. Mrs. Awolowo's grand daughter is the wife of Nigeria's current Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo.
